Cabo Horn - Chile
Know a little about the destination
Cape Horn is the southernmost point in South America, excluding the South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands and the Diego Ramirez Islands. It is found on Hornos Island, in the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, in the portion belonging to Chile. Of the great cables, it is the one that is further south and makes up the northern part of the Drake Strait. Until the opening of the Panama Canal, it was the mandatory passage of the route of ships that traveled around the globe, going to the west coast of the USA, China, India and all of Asia.
Cape Hornier is the name given to the sailor and the vessel that passes Cape Horn.
