Paraty
Know a little about the destination
Named after a local fish, Paraty is on the southeast coast of Brazil, 200 kilometers south of Rio, with the Serra da Bocaina in the background. The center of the small colonial town is a national historic monument with well-preserved buildings on its pedestrian streets. Take a boat trip across the bay to the numerous islands and nearby coves. Explore sugar cane plantations and walk or take a train through the Atlantic forest. Keep an eye on the monkeys that roam the stone streets.
